Camp recount

At camp we played a game of murder on the dusty old coach.  The game is basically tag except you have to tag people in the chest or the tummy and then you count for ten seconds. Two people got their fingers shut in the door by Hamish but otherwise there were no injuries. Charlie or Tuxedo dude was always in because people targeted him. Tuxedo dude wanted caviar or fish eggs and salmon on crackers. Alaska stole his silk tissue and purposely dropped it onto the stones and the second time she took it she pretended to blow her nose and threw it onto the soggy grass. Tuxedo dude insulted Alaska by saying the laughing part of her brain didn’t work properly. People were climbing onto the top of the carriage and through the windows to avoid whoever was in. When I was in and somebody looked at me I stared at them like in a ‘‘your next’’ kind of way. When I was in and I felt like targeting someone  I targeted Charlie when he was playing but otherwise I went for whoever was closest to me. If I felt like getting someone in without any effort I just climbed into the carriage when everyone was in there and tagged one of them. It was fun to play the murder game but it was even more exciting when someone came through the window and they were in. The people who were playing were Alaska, Ayah, Porsha, Charlie, Jack, Jordyn, Fynn, Breanna, Benny, Hamish, James and myself of course. Sadly we had to leave to go back to school but hopefully next time we go there we can play murder once again.😀

My dream recount

MY DREAM In my dream I ran from my mum with a frying pan. She bashed into a tree and fell over. I climbed up the tree and she saw me and shouted something and pulled a chainsaw out of her frying pan and Luke followed her and was being stupid. Luke threw eggs up at me and I threw pine cones and branches down at him and mum. Then dad came running in his pajamas and threw his socks at me. I grabbed a vine and flew into the next tree and pulled a face at my brother who threw a stuffed elephant at me but it fell on his head. Mum and dad climbed the tree and cornered me but I grabbed mums frying pan and slapped them in the head with my hands and threw the frying pan at Luke but he had mums chainsaw and cut the frying pan in half and then he cut the tree down. I jumped off the tree and ran until I saw a light and stopped in a clearing. Mum and dad walked into the clearing and grabbed me. I tried to escape them but I couldn’t. They took me to this house that I strangely remembered as a home. Mum sat on the couch and I smashed some windows. Luke brought me a pie covered in whipped cream that I shoved in his face. Dad stared at a picture for twenty minutes and then he looked at the window and saw me run down the road. He chased me and I fell over a stick. Dad took me to the house and threw me into a room with bath full of lava and another full of ice. Mum told Luke to tell me to make the bath the right temperature. I broke one side and the ice melted and the lava cooled down so the bath was the best temperature. Then I fell into the bath and I enjoyed it but then Luke did a massive fart and I died because of the smell well I fainted in the bath and I drowned. I woke up with my cat on my pillow. ‘‘It’s just a dream’’ I told myself and drifted back to sleep. !!NO PEOPLE WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS CRAZY DREAM!!

The class beach cleanup

We are learning to add descriptive words in our writing and use words that make the reader feel a certain way.The air was as cold as stone as the class walked down to the Karoro Beach to pick up litter dropped by people or washed up by tides. The class was divided into groups that parents volunteered to chaperone, luckily I was in the same groups as Breanna my BFF and Amanda, Hannah's mother was our chaperone. The group members were myself, Breanna, Hannah, Hamish and Issac.
The beach looked clean at first glance but it was when we looked under the driftwood when I felt a tsunami of anger rush over my head. I never expected a rubber jandal or a cap to show up and pipes that were old and had some brown stuff on the end but we also found some other weird things like, a syringe that might have had contained some medicine against a cow disease and a vial filled with a yellow unidentified liquid that might be illegal drugs or something else yucky. On the cycle trail in the penguin zone I was shocked to see rubbish in between the trees forming a cave like shape. As my group went in the first thing we saw was plastic but the big thing that was in there was a massive piece of metal.
Although the beach was a tiny bit cleaner we, and I mean all of humankind, need to decide if we want beaches covered in litter or beaches litter free and healthy. In half an hour our entire class found 498 pieces of plastic and that’s not cool. It’s your choice to look after the environment.
